Can The U18’s Make It Three From Three?

Wetherby Athletic’s U18 play their third match of the season on Sunday when they welcome Ilkley Juniors to The Ings. The match has a 1:30 pm kick-off time and looking ahead at the weather, It should be a decent afternoon.

Josh Stubbs and his side have started their campaign really well and following last weekend’s 3-1 derby win over Kirk Deighton Rangers, they sit at the top of the league with a two point advantage over Ripon City Panthers.

However, all the team know that the season has only begun and it will need maximum concentration if the side is to remain in first place.

Traveling to play them is Ilkley Juniors who drew their only match so far 3-3 with Ripon City Panthers. A quick look at the result shows that Blake Wood may well be the one to watch as he scored a brace.

Taking charge of this game will be Mr Ian Brown. We wish Mr Brown a pleasant time whilst he is at The Ings.

Please come down and support the youngsters as they aim to make it a perfect three wins from three games. The Wetherby Sports Association Bar will be open and serving a wide range of refreshing drinks for you to choose from.
