Home Advantage For Campaign Start.

Wetherby Athletic (York 4) welcome Huntington FC to The Ings for their opening York Minster Engineering Division 4 match on Saturday. Kick-off is 2pm and it should be a sunny/light cloud environment!

Chris Plews’s side have enjoyed a comprehensive pre-season schedule and will be looking to hit the ground running this weekend.

Standing in the way however are a team who are very experienced at this level and will be sure to give Wetherby a stern test. Huntington finished in 10th place last season (out of 12) and will be wanting to make more of an impact this season.

With a great mixture of youth and experience, Chris will have his Wetherby team primed for what Huntington can throw at them and it promises to be a very good opening affair.

The referee for this game will be Mr Kendall Edgley and we hope that Mr Edgley has a pleasant time with us whilst at The Ings.

Please come down and give the lads your support. As always, the Wetherby Sports Association Club will be opening before, during and after the game and will be serving a great range of beverages for you to enjoy.
